BUY IN SEASON!
Our flower market in recent years has become flooded with 'IMPORTS[ i.e. flowers grown overseas and imported for sale in Australia.
Consiquently we now have more flowers available out of their natural flowering season and more varieties all year round.This may sound like a good thing but this causes 3 problems.
- taking sales away from our Aussie growers.
- more expensive and less reliable flowers
- flowers and foliage sprayed with harmful chemicals
Flowers are seasonal for a reason,nature made them that way.and just fruit and veg,when the variety is in it's natural season it is more beautiful,lasts longer,at it's best and is CHEAPER.
So please consider this when choosing your wedding flowers and buy in season.
